SoluDense-M is a naturally occurring ore that functions as an acid-soluble weighting agent and pH buffer in drilling fluids. It offers high hardness and a low probability for generating scale versus other weighting agents including barite, calcium carbonate, and gypsum.

Material density is derived from the published absolute volume of 0.0387 gal/lb. Confirm all values against the current technical data sheet.
Whatever supplies density stays in the wellbore until something removes it. An insoluble weighting agent leaves solids in the near-wellbore region, in the filter cake, and in any fracture it was pumped into. SoluDense-M carries the density while drilling and then cleans up with acid, which is what keeps it out of the permanent solids column and off the formation damage ledger.
