Cementing Technologies

  • GlassDrill Ball Bearings – F

  • Hematite OG

    Riteks Hematite OG is a high grade commercial specular hematite (Fe2O3 — Iron Oxide).

  • Q-CEL ONG® 52 / 52B

    Two grades of Q-CEL ONG® Hollow Glass Beads are available as lightweight
    additives to help maintain density of cement systems or drilling fluids. These
    single-cell microspheres are white and free-flowing. With significantly lower
    specific gravity than competitive materials, the formulator has more leeway to reach the lower densities needed. The lower densities of ONG® Series Products favorably impacts total costs as well.
    ONG® 52 are hydrophilic and have no coating and ONG® 52B are coated and
    intended for use in higher temperature and pressure applications.
    It is recommended that actual hollow sphere attrition be determined by lab testing at down hole conditions.

  • RadiLift Fibers

    RadiLift drilling fibers offer hole-cleaning through increased carrying capacity, in both vertical and horizontal wells, without significantly altering rheological properties. RadiLift fibers are stable at high temperature applications (up to 626°F/330°C).They are also non-corrosive and chemically inert. In higher concentrations, they are used as a premium lost circulation material.     Microfume 206 UC is an undensified, constant pH, amorphus light grey
    silicon oxide powder. Microfume 206 UC improves the mechanical
    properties (compressive strength) and durability (via permeability
    decrease). Microfume 206 UC can be used as an extender for lightweight
    cements and a compressive strength enhancer for low-temperature,
    lightweight cements. Microfume 206 UC offers a lower water content and
    improved flowability with a higher PAI (Pozzolonic Activity Index) for
    improved compressive strength development for light weight slurries.

  • Microfume 102 DM – Densified Silica Fume

    Microfume™ 102DM is a densified silica fume additive designed for use in oilwell cementing systems. Produced from highly reactive amorphous silicon dioxide, this material provides extremely fine particles with a large surface
    area that enhance cement performance under demanding well conditions. Microfume™ 102DM improves the long-term strength and durability of cement sheaths by reducing permeability and refining the microstructure. The densified form offers easier handling, blending, and bulk transport compared to undensified grades. Densified, constant PH, amorphous light grey silicon oxide powder, obtained by filtering the dusts extracted from the production of silicon metal in an electric arc furnace.

    Riteks Latex Stabilizer-RS is designed to help compatibilize and stabilize polymeric solutions in high electrolyte applications, such as in cementitious formulas. When added to the polymeric emulsion, Riteks Latex Stabilizer-RS minimizes viscosity rise due to poor salt stability, smoothing out the compound and enhancing compound flow characteristics

Compressive Strength Additives

  • Microfume 206 UC

    Microfume 206 UC is an undensified, constant pH, amorphus light grey

  • Microfume 104 OG – Semi-Densified Silica Fume

    Microfume 104 OG is a semi-densified, constant pH, amorphous light grey powder that improves compressive strengths and durability (via permeability decrease). It “flows” better than its fully densified counterparts and has a high Pozzolanic Activity Index (PAI). MicroFume 104 OG is an extender for lightweight cements and used in conjunction with or instead of conventional pozz.

Riteks CSE-4 reacts with free lime produced during hydration of cement and produces additional cementitious material for improved compressive development. Riteks CSE-4 also provides benefits such as extender properties & free water control, all at much reduced loadings than other pozzolans.

  • Riteks CSE-5 – High PAI Strength Enhancer

    Riteks CSE-5 offers a higher Pozzolonic Activity Index (PAI) for improved compressive strength development for light weight slurries. Riteks CSE-5 reacts with free lime produced during hydration of cement and produces additional cementitious material for improved compressive development. Riteks CSE-5 also provides benefits such as extender properties & free water control, all at much reduced loadings than other pozzolans.

  • Riteks CSE-6 – High-Quality Pozzolanic Additive for Cement

    CSE-6, Riteks Compressive Strength Enhancer, is a versatile additive designed to increase the compressive strength of oilfield cement systems. Unlike traditional strength enhancers that are incorporated directly into cement blends, CSE-6 functions as a true additive, allowing it to be easily included during slurry design. When added at concentrations between 3% and 10% BWOC, CSE-6 reacts with the free lime produced during cement hydration to form additional cementitious material. This reaction significantly boosts compressive strength, making CSE-6 especially effective in water-extended slurries and in regulatory environments where high strength is a priority.

Dispersants

  • Riteks RCD-2 – Low Salt Tolerant Dispersant

    Riteks RCD-2 is a highly effective dispersant in cement slurries to improve the flow properties of the slurry, reduce hydraulic horsepower requirements, and allow removal of the mixing water resulting in a more dense cement slurry. With the use of Riteks RCD-2, cement slurries can be tailored for specific well requirements providing optimum slurry characteristics for any down hole condition.

  • Riteks RCD-3 – Saltwater Tolerant Dispersant

    Riteks RCD-3 is a highly effective water-soluble polymer dispersant used in normal to high density, low fluid loss slurries that can be easily pumped in turbulent flow. This dispersant was developed to improve performance characteristics in cement slurries for workability, and is highly effective in salt and salt-saturated slurries.

  • Riteks RCD-4 – Polycarboxylate Ether (PCE) Dispersant

    Riteks RCD-4 provides superior dispersing power compared to conventional dispersants up to minimum 250F (120C). RCD-4 is a high-range water reducing admixture powder utilizing superior polycarboxylate chemistry to
    achieve low and stable rheology at significantly lower dosage rates than with standard dispersants. This chemistry also offers a very high salt tolerance up to 18% NaCl and widens the field of potential applications significantly. RCD-4 can show retarding properties, although is often used in Ca Cl2 accelerated cement slurries and aids in reducing shrinkage during accelerated cement set.

Expansion Additives

  • Riteks REX-HT – Expansive Cement Additive

    REX-HT is a high-temperature, post-set expansion additive designed to improve cement system integrity while preventing shrinkage and mitigating micro-annuli and gas channeling risks. Optimized for use in wells exceeding
    220°F / 104°C, REX-HT offers reliable performance at lower loading levels compared to traditional expansion additives. It is effective across all API cement classifications and integrates seamlessly into standard cement
    designs without causing execution complications. REX-HT enhances long-term zonal isolation and bond quality, making it ideal for demanding high-temperature environments.

  • REX-MT – Mid-temp Expansion Additive

    REX-MT is a volumetric expansion additive engineered to improve zonal isolation and cement sheath integrity in cementing applications ranging from 80°F to 200°F+. REX-MT works across all cement grinds and enhances the cement system’s bond by compensating for shrinkage through controlled expansion. Its cost-effective, low dosage rates, and wide compatibility make it the clear choice for both land and offshore operations seeking better bonds
    without a high price tag.

  • REX-LT -Expansive Cement Additive

    REX-LT is a next-generation in-situ expansion additive designed to enhance zonal isolation and cement integrity at significantly lower loading levels than traditional expansion materials. Engineered to activate during the cement
    setting process, REX-LT supports early strength development and shortens Static Gel Strength (SGS) transition time. Its expansion behavior prevents shrinkage, minimizes the risk of channeling, and improves the overall bond
    between the cement sheath and casing or formation. In addition to its primary expansive functionality, REX-LT also contributes secondary performance benefits such as enhanced fluid loss control and improved free fluid properties in certain formulations—offering both performance and cost efficiencies in a single solution.

Fluid Loss Polymers

  • Riteks RFL-1 – Non-Retarding Low Temperature Fluid Loss Additive

    Riteks RFL-1 is a non-retarding low temperature fluid loss / gas migration additive designed to decrease the permeability of a cement slurry while increasing the overall durability and flexibility of the system. This additive is highly effective at exceptionally low loadings and works particularly well in lower temperature applications and small grind cements.

  • Riteks RFL-32

    RFL-32 is a cost-effective, non-viscosifying gas migration and fluid loss control additive formulated to deliver consistent, repeatable performance in oilfield cementing applications. Engineered for use in temperatures up to 250°F (121°C), RFL-32 is effective across all API cement grinds, providing a reliable solution for reducing fluid loss while enhancing slurry transition behavior. It supports extended Zero Gel Times and accelerates Static Gel Strength (SGS) development, contributing to better zonal isolation and reduced gas migration risk—all without increasing slurry viscosity.

  • Riteks RFL-4 – Viscosifying Fluid Loss Additive

    Riteks RFL-4 is a fluid loss additive that consistently  improves viscosity, water retention, and suspension. Lead Cements under 13 ppg commonly use Riteks RFL-4 which helps maintain rheological hierarchy in thin lightweight cement slurries.

    Riteks RFL-4 is ideal for circulating long columns of cement slurry on primary casing jobs and for deep liner cementing. It helps fluidity maintenance, premature dehydration elimination, and annular bridging prevention. Most additives used in cementing are compatible with Riteks RFL-4 and provides good frictional properties during displacement.

  • Riteks RFL-9 – Dispersing Fluid Loss Additive

    RFL-9 is a dispersing and retarding fluid loss additive designed for use across all API cement classes. This versatile additive delivers effective fluid loss control in primary, remedial, and squeeze cementing applications,
    with reliable performance at bottom hole circulating temperatures (BHCT) ranging from 60°F to 300°F (15.5°C to 149°C). Its dispersing nature helps lower Equivalent Circulating Density (ECD), alleviates surface equipment
    horsepower requirements, and works well in water-sensitive formations. RFL-9 can also impart thixotropy to slurries containing certain synthetic retarders, providing additional design flexibility.

  • Riteks RFL-70X – Powdered Latex Fluid Loss Additive

    RFL-70X is a cementing additive that controls flow and fluid loss properties at bottom-hole circulating temperatures up to 210°F (99°C). Typical loading levels of up to 1 percent is normally sufficient at temperatures between 75°F and 200°F (24°C to 93°C) to help reduce fluid loss to 50cc. At temperatures up to 350°F (177°C), this additive can also provide free water control, chemical resistance, shear bonding properties, and thermal shock reduction.

    Features and Benefits

    • Provides a slight increase to cement viscosity and gel strength, which helps reduce free water, settling, and sedimentation
    • Helps prevent fluid loss and gas migration in most API and lightweight commercial cements
    • Little to no effect exhibited on low temperature cement retardation
    • Improved bonding can be achieved with low loadings
    • Provides improvements to cement with enhancing durability, as well as improves bond strength and sheer bond strength for the life of the well
    • Consequently, shear bonds have an increased resistance to thermal cycling
    • Improvement to cement flexural strength
    • Cement slurries containing RFL-70X are more resistant to acids and brines

Lightweight Additives

Gas Migration Additives

  • Riteks GCL-4 – Self Stabilizing Liquid Latex

    Riteks GCL-4 cement additive is a liquid additive designed to lower equivalent circulating density (ECD) and impart excellent fluid-loss control, high temperature suspension properties, and acid resistance to cement slurries.   • Legion-LCM

    Legion-LCM is a highly-efficient, multi-modal loss circulation material engineered to combat downhole losses across a broad range of applications. Legion-LCM is an effective bridging and sealing agent when used in conventional spacers and cement slurries, but added performance is witnessed when coupled with one of Riteks RiSeal™ Sealing Spacers. This specially formulated all-in-one single sack solution minimizes operational complexity, saves time, and provides superior down hole performance.

  • Riteks Saber-LCM – Particle Packing LCM

    This material LCM product sports an assortment of different particle sized particulates that aid in plugging down hole fractures. The organic material draws deeply on particle packing to help clog up unwanted downhole chasms. Saber-LCM is a robust and versatile LCM has the ability to free flow through bulk plants without clogging them even with concentrations up to 10 lb./bbl. It dynamically suspends in spacer and cement slurries alike to optimally flow through pump plumbing while headed downhole. This material has shown to retard CMT, but through Riteks slot testing efforts, it has shown to be the most efficient way to clog up a 3mm slot to date. This product has shown to pair perfectly with MS Spacer or RiSeal Spacer.

  • Solubond Fibers – Acid Soluble Lost Circulation Fibers

    Solubond Fibers are an Innovative fiber technology that functions as an acid soluble Lost Circulation Material (LCM) where losses are an issue, but acid solubility is key. These fibers offer increased circulation by bridging and plugging off voids, fractures, and all types of permeable formations, and are compatible with cement and other fluids. These fibers offer low loading levels that range from 0.25 – 1pps and up to 5ppb in spacers. while being noncorrosive to equipment, and maintaining high-solubility in diluted hydrochloric acid (HCl) & formic acid (HF).

Mechanical Property Additives

  • RadiLock 1.8mm & 3mm Acrylic Fibers – Mechanical Improvement Fiber

    Next generation fiber technology proven to significantly increase the mechanical properties providing more durable, longer lasting cement for the life of the well.  The fiber count, specific gravity, strength, and bonding with cement enhances and improves mechanical properties including tensile strengths, flexural modulus, & stress/strain on the cement.

  • Riteks RSP-4D – Dry Surfactant Package for Oilfield Use

    Riteks RSP-4D is a blend of surfacants delivered in powder form to be used in cement spacers, chemical washes, and drilling fluids as a water wetting agent. Riteks RSP-4D is added to the spacer pill to enhance the
    cleanout of oil substrate through an ultra-low interfacial tension, helps leave the pipe and formation in a waterwet condition, and is applicable over a wide temperature range. Retarders

  • Riteks RCR-150 – Low Temperature Retarder

  • Riteks RCR-200 – Drilling Fluid Deflocculant / Dispersant

    Riteks RCR-200 is an environmentally friendly deflocculant / dispersant that is used to control thermal gelation while stabilizing rheological properties in water based fluids. It is effective over broad pH ranges and mud types and particularly efficient in lowering PV’s in high temperature, high density fluids with bottom-hole circulating temperatures (BHCTs) up to 220°F (104.4°C) and can withstand static temperatures up to 260°F (126.7°C). RCR-200 is particularly useful in cements containing high gel percentages, and increased concentrations of RCR-200 enhance the predictability of cement thickening times.

Thixotropic Additives

  • Riteks THIX-C2 – Thixotropic Additive
