Riteks THIX-C2 – Thixotropic Additive

Additive for Oilfield Cementing Applications

Riteks THIX-C2 is a high-performance thixotropic additive designed to optimize primary cementing operations in oilfield drilling. Specifically engineered to control free water, promote early strength development, prevent cement fallback, and mitigate fluid migration, THIX-C2 is the ideal choice for achieving superior wellbore integrity.

This advanced additive is highly effective at low loading levels, enhancing fluid properties and compressive strengths in water-extended cement slurries. Riteks THIX-C2 is particularly valuable in demanding applications where rapid setting is critical, such as squeeze jobs, plug placements, and water shutoff operations.

By improving gelation and transition times, Riteks THIX-C2 supports more reliable zonal isolation while reducing operational costs and rig time, making it a key component in efficient, fit-for-purpose cementing designs.

Key Features and Benefits of Riteks THIX-C2

Why Choose Riteks THIX-C2 for Oilfield Cementing?

Riteks THIX-C2 is purpose-built for the unique demands of primary cementing and remedial cementing operations, offering reliable performance across a wide range of well conditions.

Whether you are designing a lightweight slurry, a squeeze job for sealing off water influx, or a critical plug setting application, Riteks THIX-C2 enhances cement system performance, helping ensure a strong, dependable cement sheath from the outset.

Riteks SC-602 – Scale / CO2 Corrosion Inhibitor

Riteks SC-602 contains an effective blend of specialized additives for single product treatment in oilfield systems. The formula effectively inhibits carbon dioxide, carbonate, and sulfate scale formations.

Riteks SC-601 – Scale / Corrosion Inhibitor

Riteks SC-601 is a unique, concentrated blend of highly specialized additives designed for oilfield systems requiring the capability and convenience of a single product treatment. The chemistry  effectively inhibits corrosion from Carbon Dioxide & Oxygen, Carbonate & Sulfate, prevents fouling from Iron compounds, and removes pre-existing Iron deposits. Riteks SC-601 is effective in numerous lab and field applications such as producing wells, transfer lines, and pipelines – where keeping surfaces free of Iron based solids is paramount.

Riteks SC-401 – Polymer Scale Inhibitors

Riteks SC-401 is a calcium carbonate and barium sulfate scale inhibitor for use in oilfield applications. The special formula uses advanced polymer chemistry to achieve effective performance in challenging conditions. Riteks SC-401 outperforms competing scale inhibitor technologies such as Phosphonates, Phosphate Esters, and simple Polyacrylates – especially so at high temperatures (up to 400 F) in the presence of high “contaminant” levels such as > 50 ppm Iron and TDS levels of > 150,000 ppm – making it suitable for treating waters from fresh to 100% produced.

Riteks SC-102A – High Calcium Scale Inhibitors

Riteks SC-102A is a specialized high Calcium and Iron tolerant scale inhibitor for use in the most challenging oilfield applications. Features and Benefits

Riteks RFL-4 – Viscosifying Fluid Loss Additive

Riteks RFL-4 is a fluid loss additive that consistently  improves viscosity, water retention, and suspension. Lead Cements under 13 ppg commonly use Riteks RFL-4 which helps maintain rheological hierarchy in thin lightweight cement slurries. Riteks RFL-4 is ideal for circulating long columns of cement slurry on primary casing jobs and for deep liner cementing. It helps fluidity maintenance, premature dehydration elimination, and annular bridging prevention. Most additives used in cementing are compatible with Riteks RFL-4 and provides good frictional properties during displacement.

Riteks SC-500 – Polymer Scale Inhibitors

Riteks SC-500 deposit control agent is a Calcium Carbonate and Barium Sulphate scale inhibitor for high temperature oilfield applications. The specially formulated polymer chemistry achieves “best in class” performance in the presence of high contaminant loading and TDS conditions. Stability in temperatures up to 400ºF and pH in excess of 9.0 (such as H2S Scavenger applications) is also provided. Features and Benefits

Riteks GA-100 – Gelling Agent

Riteks GA-100 is a polysaccharide polymer that provides viscosifying and suspension benefits for drilling muds and viscosified systems. Its unique high viscosity in the low shear can help low concentration of the drilling fluid suspend solids. It can increase the mud penetrative rate and suspension ability to the drilling-cuttings. Meanwhile, it can also reduce the pressure loss during drilling, stabilize the well-bore, prevent the damage to oil formation, and improve the efficiency of drilling, work-over and completion.

Riteks SC-700 – Scale / Corrosion Inhibitor

Production damage can be caused by a variety of sources, including scale, paraffin, asphaltenes, and hydrates. All of these lead to costly issues like production loss, downtime, equipment repairs, and more. Phosphonate based scale inhibitors are used to stop scale nucleation, precipitation and adherence to production conduit, completion systems and processing facilities, the three key elements susceptible to scale problems. These chemistries are both inexpensive and easily prepared. They are readily soluble in water, non toxic and effective at low treatment concentrations particularly in controlling calcium carbonate and barium sulfate scale. Riteks offers a variety of phosphorus based scale / corrosion inhibitors that are highly effective in a variety of conditions. Features and Benefits

Microfume 106 UM – Undensified Silica Fume

Microfume 106 UM is an undensified silica fume that improves the mechanical properties (compressive strength) and durability (via permeability decrease). Microfume 106 UM can be an extender for lightweight cements and a compressive strength enhancer for low-temperature, lightweight cements. Lower water content and improved flowability with a higher PAI (Pozzolonic Activity Index) for improved compressive strength development in light weight slurries is a key feature of Microfume 106.
