GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Microfume 104 OG – Semi-Densified Silica Fume is a semi-densified, constant pH, amorphous light grey silicon oxide powder. Microfume 104OG improves the mechanical properties (compressive strength) and durability (via permeability decrease). Microfume 104 OG – Semi-Densified Silica Fume can be used as an extender for lightweight cements and a compressive strength enhancer for low-temperature, lightweight cements. Microfume 104 OG – Semi-Densified Silica Fume was developed to capture the benefits of handling with higher PAI (Pozzolonic Activity Index) for improved compressive strengths/strength development and free water control for light weight slurries.

APPLICATIONS & BENEFITSMicro fume 104 OG – Semi-Densified Silica Fume additive can be used in wells with bottom hole circulating temperatures (BHCTs) between 50°F to 500°F (10°C to 260°C). This product also imparts thixotropy to some cement slurries, as it has a viscosifying effect in most compositions. This additive is frequently used with Riteks SNS Dispersant-RS 5or Riteks AFS Dispersant-RS 5.Because Micro fume 104 OG – Semi-Densified Silica Fume imparts thixotropy to the slurry, it can help control lost circulation and gas migration. In addition, this product can provide a degree offluid-loss control and can act as a low-temperature accelerator for saturated salt slurries.
