GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Riteks RSP-4D is a blend of surfacants delivered in powder form to be used in cement spacers, chemical
washes, and drilling fluids as a water wetting agent. Riteks RSP-4D is added to the spacer pill to enhance the
cleanout of oil substrate through an ultra-low interfacial tension, helps leave the pipe and formation in a waterwet
condition, and is applicable over a wide temperature range.
It was developed to improve the effeciencies in dosing and to allow a true ‘on-the-fly’ spacer or chemical wash
system, in combination with Riteks MS Spacer. Riteks RSP-4D surfacent acts as a degreaser, provides water
wetting properties, promotes cement bonding, and helps to assure rheological compatibility in between oilbased
(OBM) or synthetic-based (SBM) muds and the spacer.

APPLICATIONS & BENEFITSRiteks RSP-4D is added directly to the spacer fluid, chemical wash, or drilling fluids at concentration ganging
from 3-5 ppb. Riteks RSP-4D helps to promote the proper amount of surfactant dosage for each job by being
added in a controlled enivronment. Since each drilling mud systems tend to be unique, laboratory testing is
recommended to determine appropriate surfactant concentration levels.

- Facilitates the removal of filter cake buildup while improving cement bonds
- Designed to reduce interfacial viscosity and preferentially water-wet the pipe and formation to promote better cement bonding
- Aids in the rheological compatibility between the wash/spacer and oil-based (OBM) or synthetic-based (SBM) muds
- RSP-4D can also be added to water-based drilling fluids to reduce surface tension, promoting solids-wetting and reducing pumping pressure. Also helps reduce wear on surface mud system expendables, reduce friction and torque in wellbore, prevents bit-balling, mud rings, filter cake build-up on drill strings, and increases penetration rate and bit life
