SSR-225 is a proprietary semi-synthetic retarder designed to provide reliable set-time control across low- to mid-temperature cementing applications. Developed by the Riteks R&D laboratory, SSR-225 delivers consistent performance in bottomhole circulating temperatures ranging from 100°F (38°C) to 275°F (135°C). Its versatile chemistry enables effective retardation over a broad temperature range, helping simplify cement slurry design while maintaining predictable thickening time control and cement performance.

APPLICATIONS & BENEFITSSSR-225 is ideal for mid-to-high temperature, primary and remedial cementing operations. Its stable, non-dispersing performance in cement systems ensures consistent, predictable set-time control, while reducing design complexity. This allows users to have an "all-in-one-bag" approach without introducing intensifiers to aid in retardation.
