KATS 4550 is a colorless, water based indoor/covered
outdoor rust preventive coating that is free of volatile
organic compounds. It protects ferrous and nonferrous
metals and can be applied over light rust. Protection lasts
up to 12 months, depending on storage conditions. It can
be applied using a manual spray wand or an automatic
system.
KATS 4550 is white when applied. As it dries the coating
changes and takes on an attractive clear gloss that seals
the metal and repels water.
The surfaces to be protected should be clean and dry.
Apply KATS 4550 in a good ventilated area without
excessive wind. Before using, review MSDS and wear
proper gear.
KATS 4550 can be applied using a water-compatible
HVLP, automatic, or manual spray system. HVLP is
recommended due to its transfer efficiency.
