RitePoxi™ 2000M is a medium-build epoxy mastic, optimized for use in marine applications. The durable, semigloss finish exhibits exceptional resistance to corrosion, and Direct-To-Metal (DTM) adhesion. Intended for use as
a single coat, but can also be used as a general-purpose, non-zinc primer or tie coat. For improved barrier and
abrasion resistance properties, RitePoxi™ 2000M can be optionally fortified with glass flake. Typical use-cases
include brown-water barges, tugboats, and bulk storage tank exteriors.

APPLICATIONS & BENEFITS
Below are general recommendations for applying this product. The product is designed to be applied in 1-2
coats, depending on coating scheme. Field conditions vary, and adjustments may be required depending on
scenario. Ensure that the dew point is 5°F above the temperature of the surface where product is to be applied.

Recommendations
APPLICATIONS & BENEFITS
All surfaces to be coated must be dry, clean, and structurally sound. Remove all surface contaminants such as oil, grease, and soiling by wiping clean with a rag saturated in Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) or similar. New Steel Substrates: Abrasive blasted or similar to SSPC-SP10 “Near-White Metal Blast-Cleaning” per NACE No. 3 (ISO8501-1:2007 Sa2.5). Previously Coated Steel: Abrasive blasted or similar to SSPC-SP6 “Commercial Blast-Cleaning” per NACE No. 2 (ISO8501-1:2007 Sa2). Aluminum: Remove any visible oxidation by appropriate methods. Ensure surfaces are free from grit dust after blasting. Blast profile on steel should be 1.5–2.5 mils in depth, with a “jagged” texture.

Mixing & Thinning Instructions
Product is supplied in two
components as a kit. Always mix
complete kits; do not mix more
material than what can be applied
within the given pot-life. Use a drill
equipped with a ribbon or
eggbeater-style mixing blade; take
care to mix at slow speeds to avoid
excessive foam formation. Agitate
the Part A separately before adding
the Part B, and mix for at least two
minutes until homogeneous.
