PROTECTIVE COATINGS

RiteThane™ 1000 HG

JUMP TO

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

RiteThane™ 1000 Series is a high solids polyurethane topcoat(s), with excellent weathering properties and appearances. The gloss finish improves asset aesthetics while contributing to the protective properties of the coating system. The high volumetric mix ratio, requiring less Part B than other polyurethanes, reduces worker isocyanate exposure; improving the product’s safety profile. RiteThane™ 1000 Series should be selected wherever high aesthetics and performance are desired within a coating specification.

Mixing & Thinning Instructions

Mixing Product is supplied in two components as a kit. Always mix complete kits; do not mix more material than what can be applied within the given pot-life. Use a drill equipped with a ribbon or eggbeater-style mixing blade; take care to mix at slow speeds to avoid excessive foam formation. Agitate the Part A separately before adding the Part B, and mix for at least two minutes until homogeneous.

Thinning- Thinning is not necessary in most scenarios, but it is acceptable to thin up to 5% by volume with Riteks Universal Thinner 100. Do not thin more than what is allowed by localVOC regulations. Do not thin the individual Part A or Part B; rather, thin mixed material prior application. Do not retroactively thin already mixed materials. Consult Riteks personnel for additional guidance if necessary.
