GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Riteks SYAD™40 is a set retarding water reducing multi-componentadmixture for concrete. It is designed to facilitate the placing and finishing ofconcrete while providing control over the set time. SYAD 40 improvespumpability of concrete and is especially beneficial during hot weatherconcreting operations when control of setting time and maintenance ofplaceable consistency are essential. SYAD 40 provides superior finishabilityon all flatwork and pre-cast surfaces.

Dosage: Rates will vary depending on the materials used, ambient conditionsand the requirements of a specific project.For best results, add SYAD 40 to the water and aggregate mix at between0.5-6 fl. oz of 100 lbs. of cementitious materials. Due to variations inconcrete materials, job site conditions and applications, dosages outside ofthe recommended range may be required. In such cases, contact your localRiteks Construction Chemical Representative.Note: SYAD 40 does not contain calcium chloride or any chloride-basedcomponents and is non-corrosive to reinforced, galvanized floor/roofsystems or prestressing steel.

SYAD 40 provides variable control of setting time based on dosage rate andimproves quality of concrete by decreasing water-cement ratio whilemaintaining slump life during extended mixing times. SYAD 40 increasescompressive and flexural strengths. SYAD 40 reduces cracking, shrinkage,surface bleeding and segregation. SYAD 40 resists damage caused byfreezing and thawing and aids in preventing cold joints and reduces thermalcracking in mass pour concrete.
