GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Microfume 206 UC - Silica Fume is an undensified, constant pH, amorphus light grey silicon oxide powder. Microfume 206 UC - Silica Fume improves the mechanical properties (compressive strength) and durability (via permeability decrease). Microfume 206 UC - Silica Fume can be used as an extender for lightweight cements and a compressive strength enhancer for low-temperature, lightweight cements. Microfume 206 UC - Silica Fume offers a lower water content and improved flowability with a higher PAI (Pozzolonic Activity Index) for improved compressive strength development for light weight slurries.

APPLICATIONS & BENEFITSMircofume 206 UC additive can be used in wells with bottom hole circulating temperatures (BHCTs) between 50°F to 500°F (10°C to 260°C). This product also imparts thixotropy to some cement slurries, as it has a viscosifying effect in most compositions. This additive is frequently used with Riteks Dispersant Riteks RCD-2 – Brown Dispersant or Dispersant Riteks RCD-3 – Red Dispersant Because Microfume 206 UC - Silica Fume imparts thixotropy to the slurry, it can help control lost circulation and gas migration. In addition, this product can provide a degree of fluid-loss control and can act as a low temperature accelerator for saturated salt slurries.
